Choosing Your Minor/Second Concentration:

Choosing a minor for your degree is optional. However, it allows you to focus your electives and means that you have studied two subjects thoroughly, rather than just one. In addition, if you are debating between two majors, a minor means you don’t need to choose between the two. Early in your degree you can reverse your minor and major with ease if you decide you enjoy studying your minor more.

See the information on Choosing Your Major if you need some guidance on how to choose your minor, as the same principles would apply.
